Montr\u00e9al, jeudi 3 juin 2010 \u2013 Dans le cadre du colloque pancanadien \u00c0 pied, \u00e0 v\u00e9lo, des
\nvilles actives!<\/EM><\/A>, V\u00e9lo Qu\u00e9bec a rendu hommage aux 25 premi\u00e8res
\nmunicipalit\u00e9s actives du Qu\u00e9bec. Ces municipalit\u00e9s sont :Beaconsfield,
\nBeauharnois, Beloeil, Boucherville, Chambly, Coaticook, Coteau-du-Lac,
\nC\u00f4te-St-Luc, Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Drummondville, Gatineau, Kirkland, Lachute,
\nMontr\u00e9al (centre), Montr\u00e9al-est, MRC Beauharnois, Montmagny, Qu\u00e9bec, Rosem\u00e8re,
\nSaguenay, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Sherbrooke, Ville
\nMont-Royal, Westmount.Ces municipalit\u00e9s, soucieuses du bien-\u00eatre de
\nleurs citoyens, adh\u00e8rent \u00e0 la d\u00e9marche Ville active, une initiative de V\u00e9lo
\nQu\u00e9bec lanc\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019automne 2009. Cette initiative a l\u2019appui de l\u2019Union des
\nmunicipalit\u00e9s du Qu\u00e9bec. Les municipalit\u00e9s qui adh\u00e8rent \u00e0 la d\u00e9marche Ville
\nactive b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de diff\u00e9rents outils et avantages pour les aider \u00e0
\nprogresser. Les employ\u00e9s impliqu\u00e9s dans les questions reli\u00e9es au transport actif
\nsuivent une formation offerte par V\u00e9lo Qu\u00e9bec sur les fa\u00e7ons de cr\u00e9er des
\nenvironnements favorables \u00e0 la marche et au v\u00e9lo et re\u00e7oivent le guide
\nAm\u00e9nagements en faveur des pi\u00e9tons et des cyclistes. De la formation continue
\nest aussi offerte par le biais de webinaires et de bulletins \u00e9lectroniques. Les
\nmunicipalit\u00e9s qui adh\u00e8rent \u00e0 la d\u00e9marche sont invit\u00e9es \u00e0 participer \u00e0 la
\nr\u00e9alisation d\u2019un bilan annuel qui permet de dresser un portrait des progr\u00e8s
\nr\u00e9alis\u00e9s au Qu\u00e9bec.\u00c0 pied, \u00e0 v\u00e9lo, ville active!<\/EM> est une
\ninitiative de V\u00e9lo Qu\u00e9bec. Celle-ci est rendue possible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’appui
\nfinancier de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de gestion du Fonds pour la promotion des saines
\nhabitudes de vie, l’Agence de la sant\u00e9 publique du Canada, de la Fondation Lucie
\net Andr\u00e9 Chagnon et du Fonds vert du gouvernement du Qu\u00e9bec.
