Premières démarches d’intégration

We help, inform and encourage women and their families towards the appropriate resources and services for their needs. 

In Gatineau, we offer a three hour presentation called « Premières démarches d’installation (PDI) » to provide immigrant with relevant informations to succeed with their integration process.

Here are some of the themes that we talk about in the presentation : 

• The documents and papers to get (driver’s license, social insurance, health insurance, etc.)
• Opening a bank account
• Searching for a home
• Schools and childcare
• The education system in Québec
• Tax, income declaration and financial support for families
• Democratic and Québec values in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms
• Consumers’ rights
• Settlement in rural areas
• Other services for immigrants provided by other community organizations
• The comparative evaluation of diplomas and studies outside of Québec
