Conférence: «Creativity and cognitive architectures» par Ron Sun du Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Résumé: I will discuss creative problem solving from the point of view of an integrative and comprehensive cognitive architecture. I will show that there are many facets to CPS, and therefore a comprehensive cognitive architecture is helpful to developing a comprehensive computational model of CPS.

Overall, my research is about developing an integrative computational cognitive architecture, for capturing, simulating, and explaining a wide range of psychological data, or in other words, building unified psychological theories in computational forms. I will describe one cognitive architecture  — CLARION. Within the framework of CLARION, I will address creativity, in relation to intuition, motivation, personality, social interaction, and so on.
