Exploring Asteroids with the Dawn Spacecraft
The Dawn spacecraft has orbited and mapped Vesta, the second most massive asteroid, and is now en route to Ceres, the largest asteroid.
These protoplanets provide a window on the early solar system and the kinds of bodies that accreted to form the earth.
