Exploration of major works by German composer Richard Strauss, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth. The program showcases Louis-Philippe Marsolais—Principal Horn of the Orchestre Métropolitain. In Metamorphosen, we discover a quote from the funeral march in Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, originally dedicated to Napoléon Bonaparte.
