Between fall 2021 and spring 2022, we carried out an artistic project for people with aphasia and their caregivers and for members of the aphasia community. It was facilitated by a team of three artists: a choreographer, a painter and a videographer. Through dance we cultivated a relationship of caring, curiosity and creativity with our bodies while building communication bridges with other participants. The exploration of various visual arts mediums made us discover a new language through the use of colors, textures and strokes. Supported by a videographer who filmed our explorations, some of us were also able to experiment with image capture.
