Past Events
One-day Match
On Sunday, July 15, an important sporting event was held: The One-day Match soccer game! Big Sisters on the waiting list and RBC volunteers were paired up with children waiting to be matched with a mentor. They formed two teams, and showed athleticism and great sportsmanship in a friendly soccer game.
After a well-deserved lunch break, the fun day ended with a life-size foosball game.
Basketball Workshop
On August 11, the very talented basketball coach, Mark Lachapelle (ADED Basketball), organized a training session for the matches of our traditional mentoring program.
Thanks to this training session that was followed by a friendly game, Coach Lachapelle definitely made the group worthy of the NBA!
Big Brothers Big Sisters Month
September was Big Brothers Big Sisters Month. As this special month was celebrated across Canada, the festivities led us to Big Brothers Big Sisters Day: On September 18, our BBBS community gathered to celebrate mentoring under the purple light of the Olympic Stadium tower.
The evening was a huge success! A lot of time was spent talking and sharing laughs over delicious sandwiches and games.

Camp Kanawana
On Saturday, September 29, mentors, mentees and parents were invited to spend a day at Camp Kanawana! Everyone came into contact with their love of nature with a day that promised many outdoor activities such as archery and forest survival!
Upcoming Events
The Pedestrian Rally
On Saturday, November 10, 2018, we invite our matches of the traditional program to a pedestrian rally, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The theme will be based on the murals of Saint-Laurent Street.
Christmas Party
The annual children’s Christmas celebration will take place during the first week of December. The children of the traditional program, their mentors and the entire team will be there to celebrate the end of the year! Time, date and place to be confirmed.

Come to learn how to maximize your impact on your Little Brother/Sister by developing tools for your role as a mentor. The training session is supported by scientific research on mentoring.
Date and time: Wednesday, October 24, 2018, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at our offices.
Volunteers’ Happy Hour
Come and meet the other volunteers and caseworkers, share your experience and socialize in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
Date: Thursday, November 15, 2018. Time and place to be confirmed.

Come and learn how to welcome, better understand and manage the »testing behaviours » that can occur in your relationship with your Little Brother/Sister. This training is facilitated by a guest speaker and a BBBS caseworker. Date and time to be confirmed.
