ARTIAL PRÉSENTE : “Nimishat, Nutin – Mes soeurs, les vents – My Wind Sisters”
SUJET : Un spectacle de poésie, musique et chant – occasion d’entendre les Bâtons à message de Joséphine Bacon (trilingue) ET Souper de solidarité avant le spectacle.

Spectacle de poésie, musique et chant trilingue (innu, français et anglais) centré sur les poèmes de Joséphine Bacon, pour nous transporter par la puissance de la parole et de la vision au coeur du Territoire (Nitassinan), avec l’aide des Quatre Vents (les quatre directions étant associées aux quatre éléments : la Terre, l’Eau, l’Air et le Feu).Des Autochtones, Joséphine Bacon, Robert Seven Crows Bourdon, et Naomi Fontaine, s’expriment en poésie, en musique et en chant pour célébrer la vie (avec Laure Morali).
Précédé d’un Souper Solidaire, à partir de 18 h, pour encourager la collaboration entre artistes autochtones ainsi que la coopération entre les artistes en général.
Le spectacle commence à 20 h. Le prix d’entrée est de 10 $.
Suivi d’une discussion avec les artistes.
Pendant la représentation, le documentaire Les filles de Shimun (réal.: Laure Morali) sera projeté sur un écran en peau d’orignal, illustrant le mode de vie Innu.
À la fin, nous ferons tirer deux livres :
•Bâtons à message/Tshissinuatshitakana, recueil de poèmes de Joséphine Bacon, publié en 2009 chez Mémoire d’encrier, en innu et français. A remporté le prix des lecteurs du Marché de la poésie de Montréal en 2010. Nimishat, Nutin est consacré à ces ‘Bâtons à message’.
•Kuessipan, le premier roman de Naomi Fontaine; Mémoire d’encrier, 2011.

SUBJECT: A poetry and music show – a unique occasion to hear Joséphine Bacon’s poems in English (exclusive to Artial) AND a Solidarity meal before the show

Trilingual (Innu, French and English) show of poetry, music and song centred on the poetry of Joséphine Bacon, to transport us through the power of speech and vision to the heart of the Territory (Nitassinan), with the help of the Four Winds (the four directions being related to the four elements: Water, Earth, Air and Fire).With:Joséphine Bacon, Robert Seven Crows Bourdon, Laure Morali and Naomi Fontaine.
Preceded by a Solidarity meal, starting at 6:00 pm, to encourage the collaboration between Aboriginal artists as well as artistic cooperation in general.
The show begins at 8:00 pm. Admission is 10 $.
Followed by a discussion with the artists.
During the representation, the documentary Les filles de Shimun (Laure Morali, dir.) will be projected on an elk-skin screen, illustrating the Innu way of life.
At the end, there will be a draw for two books:
·Bâtons à message/ Tshissinuatshitakana, poems by Joséphine Bacon published in 2009 by Mémoire d’encrier, in Innu and French. It won the Readers’ prize in 2010 at Montreal’s ‘Marché de la poésie’. Nimishat, Nutin is dedicated to these ‘Message sticks’.
·Kuessipan, the new (first) novel by Naomi Fontaine; Mémoire d’encrier, 2011.
